Freelance

Web Developer
Designed and programmed sites, using HTML, CSS, Flash/Actionscript 2, PHP and mySQL. Projects include:

  • Built Flash-based site which includes a non-flash version targeted to iPhone users. Data for both Flash and iPhone version come from a mySQL database, so the information only needs to be updated in one place. This includes using a PHP script to convert the data in a mySQL table into XML to be read into Flash (via ActionScript).
  • Built a PHP/mySQL based CMS system to allow the owner of the site to update their site's content themselves.
  • Built a PHP/mySQL based system for the online redemption of download codes for music files(someone purchases a code, goes to a specified URL and enters the code; if it's authenticated, they are given a time-limited link to download the purchased file).
  • Cleaned up and revised existing design on some sites.

Upgraded the backup system to be more reliable with greater capacity, transitioned the Macs to Mac OS X, installed an Apple XServe (linking it to the company’s Active Directory domain). Inventoried all hardware and software owned by the company and oversaw switching Internet Service providers, including changing the server and firewall appliance settings when the hired contractor was unsure how to do it.
