Flash Developer
Current duties focus on building websites in Flash, using Actionscript. Some sites pull data as XML from a database back-end. HTML editing with some CSS, and occasionally video editing.

Web Developer
Have also built HTML websites (including DHTML layers and CSS), incorporating timeline Flash elements. Edited short promotional videos, including voiceover recording.

Network Administrator/Production Artist
Kept Windows and Mac computers updated and running, administered the Windows 2000-based file and mail servers and monitored the backup server. Upgraded the backup system to be more reliable with greater capacity, transitioned the Macs to Mac OS X, installed an Apple XServe (linking it to the company’s Active Directory domain). Inventoried all hardware and software owned by the company and oversaw switching Internet Service providers, including changing the server and firewall appliance settings when the hired contractor was unsure how to do it.

Occasionally acted as a production artist, resizing ads, creating PDFs to send to publications, editing documents, and troubleshooting file and printing problems.

Answered technical questions, did troubleshooting on Mac OS X and Mac OS 9, fixed hardware problems, made repairs on a wide range of Apple computers. Taught a “Getting Started With The Mac” class on Saturday mornings.

Adjunct Professor
Taught Design For The Web I, introducing basic concepts of interface design and usage of color, images and typography in web sites. Taught how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver, and pointers on using Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady to create graphics optimized for use on the web. The class met one three-hour period each week.

Met with clients, estimated jobs, and managed web and CD-ROM projects, as well as built web sites and CD-ROM projects in HTML, Flash, and Adobe Acrobat.

Imaging Specialist/Network Adminstrator
Printed design files on a variety of output devices, from dye sublimation printers to high resolution Agfa imagesetters. Set up and maintained approximately 20 Macintosh computers, designed and maintained the company’s Telefinder BBS, and created the company’s first web site, hand-coding it in HTML.

Concentration in electronic media, including video and computer art. Used Macintosh, Apple II and Amiga computers. Minor in Anthropology.

I was a DJ on the University’s radio station, and drew a comic strip for the weekly Rutgers College newspaper, the Rutgers Review.
